My recommendations:
Topinka has a political past...Many bash her for corruption, but she is experienced and seems to have a good idea of how to make good progress for the state. The corruption bashing mostly comes from candidates that have not held state offices.

Even though Birkett is running with Topinka, I like Rauschenberger better. He says he'll drop out if Gidwitz isn't selected for Governor, but I'll still vote for him. I might even vote Gidwitz over Topinka...he's better than most of the candidates.

I'll pick Wardingley over Jones. Jones seems a bit extreme. Wardingley isn't bad even though he's a bit old fashioned. Maybe we need more good old guys like him in office.

The rest of the choices vary by location. I recommend researching some on your own. Project Vote Smart and the Illinois State Board of Elections are good resources.
